Are you asking how to do the mathematics of it? If so, multiple the number with the percentage (where the percentage is in the form of a decimal). 20% is 0.20 so...

20% of 503 is equal to (503 x .20) = 100.6

So, if I am decreasing my carbs by 20%, then I would take off 100.6g from the 503 right?

Also I am on the fat loss program,,how soon should I start decreasing, carbs, calories??

Yes, that's right. If you want to decrease by 20%, you would take off 100.6. So, you take 402.4g instead.

I don't know the answer to your other question, I'm not much the expert on dieting. I'm on the other program - the "fat gain" program (I need to gain weight :-)
