Well, I searched fitBuddy and didn't really find a concrete answer to my question so I'm going to ask it here.
What is the appropriate dosage for someone who is weighing in at 290lbs (obese) and wants to lose close to around 100lbs? Obviously this is conjuction with my cardio, weights and pilates but I've seen numbers ranging from 4g-10g..also what would be the best time to take it? During a meal or right before I work out or both? Since this is my first time ever taking any type of supplement I could use a little bit of guidance.
I just don't want to take too much and keep the weight on me, or not take enough. Also, will this speed up the process or slow it down at first?
Thanks in advance!

Also forgot to add that I am 18..if age has anything to do with dosage.

It is all about encorporating it into your diet macros correctly. Fish oil is healthy, but like anything else, if it makes you exceed your calorie limits, then it will not help you in that end. Normally the way to proceed is as you lower carbs, up your fish oil intake.

just count the fish oil as part of your healthy fat caloric intake...you can try 5g morning and 5g night.....so that's 90 calories u need to account for daily....I wouldnt worry too much beyond that....just keep challenging yourself in every aspect....by continuously improving in cardio and weight lifting as well as eating mostly clean and nutritious foods....

Fish oil is a very important nutrient to add to your diet....research shows it can help partition to a small extent a favorable fat burn profile.
