This is for the nutrition experts. I was browsing through a book at the store the other day and it got me to thinking about how we use EFA's. The question is that a lot of us have been under the impression that olive oil, sesame, safflower and sunflower oils were good for getting our EFA's. Since EFA's are light and heat sensitive, it would seem that the stuff we get in the grocery store is useless since it's heat processed and sitting on a shelf for who knows how long. I've tried the web search but the only reference that seemed valid was a hit that kept leading to the author of the book I was browsing.
I never did find the answer to my question while browsing around but did find a lot of misc info like this that might interest someone so at least the time wasn't wasted.
