My name is Knate. I just recently joined to see what info is out there. I was always a computer guy in highschool. I didn't play sports and I was skinny as all get out. I weighted about 140 when I graduated highschool. Needless to say I did nto have very much muscle and I was pretty weak. I then joined the Airforce out of Highschool and Basic Training was a rude awakening of my weak physicalness ability. It was for the better though as I got into decent shape but just enough to meet the requirements and nothing more. It has been 4 years since then. I never got serious about weight lifting or exercising till a year ago when I got deployed for the second time to the Middle East. I started experimenting with weights and then after a few of my own sessions I got hooked. The physical pain and adrenaline just motivates me for some reason. I had my own training regiment that I did. I lost a bit of weight and put on a little muscle but after I went home in 4 months I started slacking and then just quit all together. I put on 40 lbs and lost some of my strength. Well, I am not out here for the third time I am got back into it and I lov eevery painful, muscle pumping minute of it. I can now put up 260 on the bench. I know it is not much but it is the most I have ever put up in my life and considering what I came from I am happy with it. My max bench went up by 50 lbs since the start of the deployment which was six months ago. It is like I have found this inner strength that I never knew it was there. I am shooting for 300 lbs before I head home from the deployment and with my progress I am making I think i can do it.I work my entire upper body including some ab work in one day at least 4 days a week. I have been told that I am stupid and that it is not gonna do anything for me but I am seeing great results and I have received praise from some of the other weightlifters as they say that they couldn't do it but since I can then more power to me. I try to get in at least 20 mins of cardio at least 3 days a week if my work load permits. The only thing is I developed a decent sized pooch on my stomach over the past 3 years. I just cannot seem to get it to disappear or even go down a bit. My wife says that it isn't that bad and that everyone has them. I may just be looking into it too much but I am not sure. It just looks unporportional to me. This rest of my body is getting a nice tone to it but the stomach still stays the same. I have finally gotten a decent looking upper body but I cannot wear shirts to show it off because of my stomach's pooch. Not that I am trying to be conceded but who doesn't wanna how it off sometimes when you go the beach or whatever. I busted my but fo rit so I should be able to occasionally. I have changed my diet to a healthier more protein oriented diet. I started running which is the only thing I do not like to do. I seem to be toning out everywhere else but there. I know you cannot spot reduce but I figured I would have seen some progress in that area by now. It could be genetics as my dad had the same problem but who know. I do not know how to put down stats so I will do my best so here they are.
