I read that fat free yogurt is ok to eat but it has like 16g of sugar in it. Is this bad? What is a daily gram amount of sugar that is acceptable? should it only be eaten in the morning hours?

I personally avoid presweetened yogurt. You're better off buying plain non-fat and adding your own fruit to sweeten it. Even if you add a little honey you will still be adding fewer grams of sugar than what comes in presweetened yogurt. Plus you can get a lot more creative and I actually think it tastes better. One of my favorite things to do is to stir pieces of dried mango into a cup or so of yogurt at night. In the morning the mango is rehydrated from absorbing the liquid in the yogurt and the yogurt is super thick and creamy.

I read the label it says plain non fat but has sugar in it. it does say no added sugar. I don't think i saw a sugar free plain yogurt at the grocery store. Could the sugar be from an ingredient? maybe milk? i read somewhere that he max daily sugar intake should be like 48 grams.

I buy the Dannon carb/sugar control. The vanilla for instance has 1 gr. of sugar....the others 3.
