So heres my story. I'm a 22 year old college student. In 12th grade I was about 6'1 and 170 fairly good shape from track. In college I joined a fraternity and now I am about 6'1 195. My diet is horrendous. Untill now I would drink about 50 beers a week or more. Eat Jack in the box sometimes 3 three times a day sometimes. I'm graduating soon and plan to significantly cut back on the drinking because my classes are getting too hard. pretty much right now I've got small arms and a big belly. I've started playing raquetball for maybe 1 hour five times a week and light weights. With my high metabolism I don't want to get too skinny with these small guns any advice?

Welcome to FT! I would cut back on raquetball a little. Alternate raquetball/cardio days with weight training only days. Like Mon., Wed., Fri. do a full body weight training session. Tue., Thu., Sat. play raquetball. Rest on Sunday! Or try a split routine. DIET is a huge part. Working out alone will not get you the desired results. Cutting back on the beer will help, but you really need to get the right nutrition. High protein and low in healthy fats and carbs. Check out the nutrition forum for specifics. You can also try fitBuddy at the bottom of the screen to find more answers. Good Luck:)

Just a side note, thought I'd let you know you're not the only one in that same boat! Toooo much beer didn't do much good for me! I was going to play college basketball, so I was in great shape when I came to school. I decided not to play...and sat around, partying and sleeping...
Anyway, just thought perhaps it'd be encouraging to know that I'm in the exact same situation and sure hope this works.
