lol hi all, just curious, i read in a previous post by bb1 that for every 4 pounds of fat lost on a cutting phase that is done properly, you will lose around a pound of muslce.
lol i weigh 200 and half about a 12 percent body fat, my question is is that if i drop twenty pounds, like properly, not just not eating, then am i gunna lose like five inches on my arms lol? like i just dont wanna look small again, lol so should i lose that much size or will it be ok, like how much arm size do you losse on a cut?

Much is determined when you cut by your genetics. Naturally lean folk for instance have a tendency to lose more muscle when dieting. How long you go on your diet will also be a factor. Go no longer than 8 weeks without a break of some sort.
There are so many factors influencing your progress. Same for gaining muscle....you can summize for example for every 5 pounds of muscle you gain, expect to add anywhere between 2-5 pounds of fat. You can limit some of this by what you eat, but still calories are calories. But it also depends on how lean you are when you start to overfeed(increase diet to gain).
Studies show that during a period of overfeeding, you'll gain more muscle and less fat if you're naturally lean to start with. Why am I telling you this? Well....
Conversely, fatter people tend to lose more fat and less muscle when they go on a diet. The leaner you get, the harder it gets to lose fat without losing muscle.
So, there is not "set rule" as to how much muscle you will lose, you must have misread or misinterpreted my post. Just remember, as you get leaner, the more chance you have of losing muscle at a higher rate along with fat.

From the sound of your post, I think you should maybe re read the above post again. Being lean is not a blessing when trying to save muscle. As you get to single digits, you could very easy to a 4:1 ratio. Your original post was LOL at the thought of it....Don't laugh if you don't know....you will find out when you get there(depending on how far you want to take things, like low single digits). Experience is a price to pay to learn.
