depends on the brand and the cut. it can go from really lean to full of fat. plus, since its generally a cured meat, watch out for the sodium content. otherwise, its really yummy with a good coleslaw on rye!

Pork products tend to contain more fat than beef or chicken. I would stay away from processed ham (those packaged as lunchmeat) and cured ham as Michael pointed out. I actually prefer mine with eggs and sometimes with rice.
