My friends and I are going to Miami for New Years and I want to lose all of my weight by the or at least 45lbs by then. Its not just looks though. My mom is diabetic so I have an increased risk so I need to lose this weight before I end up with it too. I get so discouraged though because no one in my house is willing to do it with me. i feel alone on this one. Somebody please give me tips to stay motivated and overcome this.
Welcome to FT! You are not alone, almost everyone one this site struggles one way or another and we are all here for each other to support, educate, encourage and care. I'm sorry you don't get support at home, that would make things a little easier. But don't worry, it's not impossible. Just know it will be hard, there will be a lot of ups and downs along the way. Be patient, consistant and you will reach your goal. With the right diet and exercise you can expect to lose about 1-2lbs a week. Start reading through the forums and take advantage of the tools on this site and ask questions. Good Luck!
