But this may well take the cake of craziness.....
Ain't nothin' but a pound dog -- A Missouri woman upset over the death of her new pure-bred Chihuahua pup forced her way into the breeder's home and pounded the poor lady repeatedly over the head with the corpse. After leaving the scene, waving the dead puppy from the sunroof of her car, she called and threatened the breeder and her family. Police are contemplating misdemeanor assault charges against the woman...

Nothing crazy at all. When you get a dog you expect to get what you paid for. Imagine how you would react when 15 years after the fact the dog passes. I would go back and do likewise to have the person rebreed the dog right so that it lives as long as a turtle or parrot and be a true lifelong companion. What happened to doing one's job right the first time?

I agree Menace...even in a short time you get really attached to your dogs..and I cant imagine losing a puppy over a breeders incompetence

Somehow I doubt this woman was attached to her dog, at least not in a loving way. Sounds to me she was upset to lose the money she spent on it. Not in my wildest dreams would I even think of swinging my dead dogs body around or harm it in any way. What a sick, twisted, careless woman, who knows what she's capable of doing to a dog when it's alive? I hope they charge her!

Wait a minute.....I know stories are open to intrepetation, but I have read this thing over numerous times. I see nowhere in the story where it says the breeder did anything wrong or had anything to do with the puppies death??? The negligence if there was any, and it says nothing about any, could have well been by the puppies owner that caused its death! The whole point of the story was the insane reaction of the owner, which in turn makes one think if there was negligence, it was on the part of the owner, who has to be a nutcase to take that kind of reaction.

Ok so I digress...

The owner could not have cared for the dog at all. I have a little chihuahua and could never think of beating anyone over the head with her body

I have four chihuahuas and a dasuchand and I feel the same way when they die we treat them as people. AS we do while they are alive.

lmao yxven...
seems like some people didnt get the sarcasm first time around....the assumption was made that the dog was dead of natural causes....and the woman was so afflicted with sadness that she went over the edge...maybe I misunderstood the story...

I got it Menace. However if I was gonna beat a breeder, I'd use a big dog ...like Mutt.
