We usually use the EggBeaters around here for cooking. Would egg whites be any better?

Eggbeaters are good for convenience, but I would rather have the egg white. I think it comes out smoother and taste a lot better.

Yeah the egg whites taste much better and nutritionally I think they're pretty much the same

I actually like the taste of Eggbeaters. Are there good packages of egg whites out there, too?
Thanks.

Nina,
I'd give up Eggbeaters for Europe in a heartbeat! Matter of fact, I'd give up a lot of things.

Eggbeaters makes just egg whites. They come in little containers and it's very convenient. They are usually located next to the other eggbeaters, but sometimes they are out of the egg whites, it is a sad thing. =(

Not sure if they sell them in Canada, Dan, but if you're ever in the US and go into a grocery store, EggBeaters are in the dairy case by the eggs. They're packaged "egg products," which is to say they're 99% egg whites with flavor and color to make them look and taste more like beaten whole eggs.

Dan, I live in Toronto and they do sell EggBeaters here... both in the regular and just the whites. Just go to a loblaws or any other large grocery store. They are sold in packages of two small cartons right next to the regular eggs!

I've just been boiling about 3 dozen eggs every Sunday. Then each day I have however many I need .... just throw the yeller part away. hehe
Gives me a lotta protein for my breakfasts....
