I seem to have a some what rare problem lol. I'm working on the diet/lean fitness plan. From previous controlled diets when i did regular athletics i know what i like, can fit in etc, so i've got a bunch of good stuff in my diet plan.
However, while i've reached the required levels for most things, while keeping the fat down, i just can't bump up the cal/carb's with out putting in what i feel are unrealistic amounts of pasta/potatoe/rice etc.
Do i just need to reevaluate what i can put down in a day? This is the intake details if i can get it to look right-
Calories 3,497 kcal 2,078 kcal Carbohydrates 612.5 g 272.3 g Proteins 175.0 g 204.5 g Fats 42.7 g 39.9 g
Thats tuna, veg, chicken, cottage cheese, yogurt, milk, pasta in various quantities.
I guess what i'm after is high carb/cal, low fat foods that i can either pre-prepare and eat during the day (office job) or something i can prepare and eat enough of in 1 go.
Any help would be appreciated.

I personally don't like to take in to many carbs. I use 1 gram per pound of body weight for protein, and the remaining calories I divide between fats and carbs. Right now I'm taking in 300 grams of carbs, and 120 grams of fat. I don't understand why people are so afraid of fat intake.

Well i don't want to gain weight lol, my initial goals are fat loss and fitness. I'm just trying to follow the plan here best as i can. Right now with what i feel to be a balanced diet, several meals giving me the required protein vitamins fat etc etc i'm way down on cal/carb.
Now if everyone thinks thats ok then i'll go with it and see how it works for me.
Otherwise how can i get more carb/cal into my diet with out eating pasta and potatoes covered in sugar all day long :)

Well eating healthy fats isn't going to make you fat. It's excess calories and highly glycemic carbs that get you fat. Carbs are pretty much sugar in different forms. Some good sources of carbs are beans, brown rice, whole wheat and oat bran bread, sweet potatoes (much lower on the GI index than regular potatoes,) and veggies ofcourse.
