Hi, Im 5'9 and 250lbs. I havnt really lifted wieghts since i got out of high school a few years ago. My bench was 355, squat 625, and my deadlift was 650. Ever since then i just stoped working out and i feel rather weak and fat. Me and a friend of mine are about to start working out again after our classes. I was thinking working out mon, tues with wed off and go again thurs, fri taking the weekend off from the gym. Running atleast a mile after every workout and everyday i dont work out. Also i was plaining on doing an ab workout 3x a week. This seems like a big jump into things since i havnt worked out in awhile but its more of what im used to. Anyways my goal is to get down to 200lbs and keep the strenght i have now and hopefully get stronger. Is that to far fetched or is that just a bad idea to jump into a workout like that after a few years of doing nothing?

Sounds like a lot. I would do a 3-4 day routine at most and just run 2-3 times a week to start.

Well do what you think is best. It is hard to gain strength, loose fat and gain muscle all at the same time.
