FIVE sausages???Full of protien yes...but what about the fat???That sounds like a heart attack on a plate!!!I could be wrong....I'm sure I will be swiftly reprimanded if I am,but that sounds very unhealthy!

Assuming premium sausage links, you're getting over 150 grams of fat in that "meal".

I'm also pretty sure you need some form of carb for a post workout meal.

the fat intake was the main reason i posted this thread, but i am pretty skinny and trying to gain weight and muscle mass so is consuming that much fat not so bad in my situation, besides i got a lot of exercise daily so i probally burn the fatty calories off quite quickly, and the rest of my diet is pretty healthy so i guess the a bit of fat ent so bad

Richard - browse the nutrition and diet forums and read the thumb tacked posts as there's a lot of info. I have to assume you're wanting to gain lean mass and not fat. Eating a large excess of fat isn't going to help you gain muscle. You can increase your total caloric intake but you still want a good balance. Fat isn't bad for you in proper amounts but at some point it can start to add on lbs at an amazingly fast rate. You burn calories at a given rate but you don't just burn fat calories. Post some info in your profile so we can be more specific. Age, type of program, goals and that type of thing all have a bearing on the type of answers you'll get to your question.

You'll have to do your own math but I like to do a 40/30/30 percentage (protein/carb/fat)intake on a lean mass cycle.

Not only will all that fat pack on the pounds...your heart will be screaming for mercy!!:)My husband has a hard time putting on weight as well...he just eats more when he's working out...ALOT more...but it's good food. There are lots of ways to add healthy fats to your diet.Sausage is loaded with saturated fat...it will do you no good to be buff if you drop dead of a heart attack.Just do some more research into bringing up your caloric intake and using healthy fats like nuts, avocado, olive oil...you'll find ways...but leave the 5 sausages alone for awhile!!
