In ft's diet program, if their suggested daily fat intake is, say, 50 grams, does that mean saturated fat or total fat? As far as calories go, do they mean calories from fat or total calories?

I believe that means total fat and total calories.

Bretto, you can easily eat more fat in your daily diet IF it's NOT saturated fat....... Go for the insaturated ones; nuts, almonds, olives, avocados, fish oils, flax etc
You need good fat to burn the bad one.....
