i am about 14% body fat yet with what i know i figure thats probably a few percentage over what most men have. that is probably considered mildly chuby expeccially considering the 5% which most bodybuilders maintain. yet i look probably around 8% if i had to guess nd would rather put on weight then loose it. i would like a healthy diet that isnt based on losing weight but gaining lean muscle mass. can some one help me out with the basiccs of what i should be eating???

To be honest, you should try one of their free lifting programs they offer on the site. I believe the one I am thinking of is the mass builder for those who aren't afraid of putting on a little fat. But it will not only provide you with your fitness plan, but it will also give yoiu a good nutritional plan. The plan won't cover everything, but it will be a good start. It will tell you how many p/c/f and total calories you should shoot for each day. At the bottom, it will also list good foods that you can eat to help you reach those goals. It's a good place to start. Don't worry. Soon a more advanced person will give you even better advice, but it's somewhere to start. Good luck! :)

14 is not chubby. 11% is around where most guys start feeling pretty good about it. Bodybuilders compete at very low levels of bodyfat - not realistic to maintain all of the time.

There is plenty of info on how to create your meal plan, how many calories. etc.

Start with the post 'how many calories do i need to take in' in the faqs forum. it has a good formula for mass gain calorie calculation.

Readd bbfit's posts on diet. diet thread, diet simplified, he has posted a lot of really good info.

Read the bodybuilder's grocery list or grocery list for healthy eating for a good ood list.

look up mass gain in fit buddy.
