It's not a bad idea to eat something good about an hour before your workout, because you want to make sure that your muscles have enough glycogen to run on. It's then a great idea to take your shake and a healthy carb like rice, oats, etc. within an hour after your workout is complete. You will get a lot of opinions on the time frame. That is the one I prefer. But definitely good to have something for energy about 1-2 hours before and then protein with carb after. Hope this helps. :big_smile:
