hey im new here and have a few questions to all you experiences guys...
im 15..have 14" biceps and would like them bigger. at home i have 25lb dumbells and wondering what techniques you guys use for curls...is it stand up, sitting, etc and which are the most effective?
also i can do 35-40lb curls (40 on a good day) with one hand DB and want to know if it is better (more effective) doing that fewer reps than 25lb more reps

Switch it up a bit. Don't stick with the same movements evey time. Make sure your form is correct when lifting. If not you won't do much but hurt your self. I do light weights so I can work on my form. I find it's the most effective.

Just like jeramiemaza said switch it up! Do the hammers and alot of negatives, do preacher curls.

Those work, but the best way to get bigger arms is to get bigger all around. Start doing heavy compounds lifts. Do pull-ups, rows, etc. for back and biceps. Don't neglect squats, deadlifts, bench, etc. also though.
I've read that to add 1 inch to your arms you need to gain 10 pounds of muscle in your body.
Also remember that the tricep is a much bigger portion of your arm.

2/3 tricep 1/3 bicep :)
