I have pulled a slight shoulder injury nothign to bad hopefully. I am experiencing small twinges in my left shoulder joint. I am planning on taking 4 - 7 days of the working out and focusing on the legs and abdominals in this time. I was wondering if i decided to take a week or so off the arms, back and shoulders would i loose much muscle and power at all? I would keep up the protein but i am worried i might loose some strength. But i suppose that would be better then to keep going and hurt the shoulder for a longer period - just want to know if i do would i expect to see a decrease in my weight lifting levels? which are quite high currently. Can anybody also recommend ways to fasten the healing process?

additionally I would rest the shoulder....and I would do exercises to strengthen rotator cuffs...
squats should maintain your strength,like menace3000 said external rotations,and internal rotations and shoulder abductions,go light and do 15 or 20 reps.
