My mother-in-law always has candy, chips, and sweet stuff ect. around the house. I have always had a problem sweet stuff. I can I get her to listen to me when I say no I don't want any? She is always like help me eat this or that. I do love her as a mother but this is not helping me lose weight.

You have to decide what is more important, your health and goals or making her feel bad.

TALK to her....she'll understand...
Try to eat a lot of smaller meals constantly so that you're never hungry so that you won't crave these foods but if you do decide to eat them it will be a little bit and not a lot....eating 1 chip won't hurt you...

thanks for the input. I have tried talking to her she dont' really listen. She has MS and at times is craving the sweets and wants some one to eat them with her. I know eating one chip wont hurt me, but I have a hard time stopping at one. I know my health is more important. So I am going to keep trying.

Try going for a walk if she starts in and wants you to join her...throw the kids in a wagon and head out the door.
