when u read a label and it says it has say 80 calories, then it says 27 sugars and 20 carbs, 1 protein and 1.5 fat and so on. Is there calories in those sugars and carbs and proteins as well that are not added into the 80 calories already listed? And if so how do i tally the real number of calories.

The 80 calories is the total, the others are how that total is broken down.

There are 4 calories per gram each of protein and carbohydrates, and 9 calories per gram of fat. Using these numbers, you can either figure total calorie count or break it down individually. This never varies, it is always true. Say for instance in your case, it has 20 grams of carbs. That translates to 80 calories. The one gram of protein would be 4 calories, and the 1.5 grams of fat would be 13.5 calories, for a total of 97.5 calories. Now you have to watch the serving size on the package, it will say per serving. Then it might say 4 servings per package. So you would have to multiply that serving total you just got times 4. Hope this helps.
