I just bought a Elliptical Trainer machine. It is a cheaper one for I did not want to invest alot in my first purchase in the event that I did not like it. It is a belt drive resistance. I am wondering if anyone can suggest a beginner workout on the elliptical trainer machine.

I am a woman weighing in at 155 lbs. I am not that active just the normal exercise of walking. If anyone has any suggestions to start me out...that would be great.

The key here is to get your heart rate up and keep it there. Since you are "not that active" I would suggest for the 1st week warm up for 5 min, get your HR up to about 70% of your max and keep there for 2-3 min then cool down for 5 min.
eventually you will keep your HR up for longer periods. start this with the lowest tension and build up.

To find your target HR 220-39=181(your age)x70% =127.
