So do ..."balance" type excerices have some benifit.....like on the ball, and planks etc?
Even for strength athletes?

Name a sport played on an unstable surface.
It has its place. Not with most athletes though.

surfing, skiing? maybe
Would closing ones eyes and doing certian movemnts help with anything?

Closing the eyes and squatting on a bosu ball are two different things.
One teaches you to feel where your body is, the other teaches you how to balance on a bosu ball.
