Is it okay to eat wheat bagels with fat free cream cheese for breakfast? I didn't see them or the cream cheese on the healthy food list.

If you are trying to lose weight.. I would leave them out for now. they are fairly refined and you aren't getting much protein from the cream cheese. maybe once a week you could have that, with a side of scrambled egg whites, but if you rae serious about weight loss (want it to happen sooner than later) I would switch to oatmeal and scrambled egg/egg whites.

Some people are perfectly happy losing weight very, very gradually, in that case, have the bagel and cream cheese but be sure to stay witghin your calorie allowance for the day and try to add a little protein (peanut butter would be better than the cream cheese).

Thanks. I assumed since they were wheat bagels they would be okay. So should I leave wheat bread off too. Shoul I avoid bread altogether.

White or brown rice? As far as oatmeal is it okay to eat the Quaker instant oatmeal. Like for instance maple and brown sugar, apples and cinnamon etc... or do these have too much sugar?

Amy said she mixes the brown and white for her family...so they'll eat it...but I think she said just white is OK.And I'm pretty sure the oatmeal is the original kind...to much sugar in the others...but I'm sure amy will be along to clear things up shortly....

I think I can help with the oatmeal...plain oatmeal is best. The little packets have tons of sugar/fillers in them. Check out...I think it's the breakfast foods sticky...lots of ideas on how to spice up your oatmeal to make it tastey without adding tons of sugar/calories. :)
