I get a kick out of restaurants that offer "Canadian Cuisine." I can only figure it must be back bacon or something... probably topped with Maple Syrup.

Let's see, what else... poutine.

Here's some more:

Thanks and eat well. We are going on a foliage trip today and probably pick a few pumpkins! Have a good Thanksgiving.

Oh and Tim...I checked out that link, and I have to agree there is nothing like back bacon and our smoked meat!

Well that smoked meat sandwich looked delicious...along with the nanaimo bar....but I have to draw the line at eating a caribou...or a moose...and defineatly not a bear.

Do you all throw a partridge on the table...or go with a simple turkey?????

The only thing Canadiens have to be thankful for is that they made it another year without losing their country in a very short and boring war.

Would French cuisine be considered canadian also? Just checking.

Doubt it. Maybe Quebec Cuisine? Ivan? Got an answer for that?

Wqhat I don't get is that we went to a steakhouse in Canada and it was called "Big Montana' or some other US beef state. Doesn't Alberta have a big beef industry??

Quebec cuisine... le turkey, le sweet pomme de terre, le gravy, le pumpkin pie...

Yes, Alberta is big beef country... and we have a Montana's here in my city and I believe it serves Alberta beef... I've often wondered why we don't have "Alberta's." I'm guessing it would make people think they are eating in their own back yard. If you go to "Montana's," at least you might feel you drove for a while. :)

Calm down you guys! Quebec cuisine is NOT french cuisine.
Quebec cuisine would be;
Poutine (French fries with cheese and gravy)
Baked beans
steamed hot dogs
Cretons
Pepsi
May West cakes

And on healthy food...Quebec lamb nothing like it!

And Amy its le turkey if it is a female, and la turkey if it is a male!

Speaking of Canadians, I just heard this and thought this was kinda funny:

A patrol of Canadian soldiers cornered a group of Taliban losers in a small forest in Afganistan. So, in order to smoke them out, they decided to set it on fire. After awhile, the soldiers started to feel a little funny. Turns out the "forest" was made out of very tall marijuana plants!

Caught the bad-guys, AND got a little buzz!
