I haven't maxed out on any weights since high school football, and I can't figure out what weights I should start at for lifting.I've lifted weight off and on all my life but I really need a set gameplan to make it worth my while.I'm going by the plan reccomended on this site but I would rather have some good advice rather then waste my first couple of workouts with to little or to much weight.this is a plan i intend to take with me to afghanistan in the spring .help someone please.

First - You will not be wasting your first couple of workouts. Use them as a guide to build upon. Since we do not know what your workout consists of or what you previously lifted you will have to be the best judge for how much to lift. Start back slow and on the lighter side and add weight from there. Good Luck and welcome to FT.
