I was going to make marinara sauce with ground turkey over zuhcini(sp?)for dinner tonight...but I was reading the label and I'm not sure this is something we can have...so I'll give you the label stats and you tell me if I can do this:
1 can stewed tom,italian style
125 cal(entire can)
sodium 1080
fat 0
protien 3
sugar 21
tom paste
cal 125
fat 0
sodium 475
sugar 20
pro 3
2 cans tom sauce
210 cal
fat 0
sodium 5040
sugar 14
pro 1
lots of spice, onion, garlic, bell pepper...and parm cheese in the sauce..I don't know how much I use but looking at the label low fat..1.5 g per 2 tbsp...but high in sodium
So these stats would be for the whole pot...not a serving.I don't know how to figure what serving is...so looking at it myself I see ALOT of salt...and sugar is higher than I thought...would this be OK to have if I drank extra water today and tomorrow????
Thanks!!!

The salt probably isn't a problem - you are sweating a lot during your workouts (aren't you?) and drinking a lot of water.
The sugars are coming from the tomatoes, most likely - just look at the ingredients list on the cans, as long as it is tomatoes, spices, salt you are fine - if there is added sugar, go to th egrocery and look for no-sugar added instead.
Spices- no problem!
The parmesan is not on our list, leave it out for now, serve it on the side for the family and just think about your goals.
Sounds good over ground turkey and zucchini! Yum!

Ok...just checked the labels...the stew tom are out...high fructose corn syrup...so I'll head out and look for a better stewed tom...OK...this is good...this is one of my favorites.
I'm sure this isn't the right place to ask this question...but since we are talking sweat(kinda)...yes...I am sweating alot...but I am also sweating alot when I'm not working out!!!It's awful and seems to be getting worse...I can't wear t-shirts that are fitted around the armpit..I get nasty sweat circles,I tried changing deoderants to no avail ...I know...TMI...but I am curious as to why I am sweating more...even when not working out...

The fitter you get, the more efficient at cooling your body becomes, so you will sweat more. Sorry.

Hey, great idea about using ground turkey in the tomatoe sauce. Think I'll give it a try. I am a cronic label reader now...it's amazing how many products have high fructose syrup added to them!

I really like it over zuchinni...I cut the zuchinni length wise and steam it just till they are barely soft...it's almost like spag noodles...

What a great idea. I've not eaten any spag for ages because I've been avoiding pasta( I know I could be eating whole wheat, but just haven't bothere). Never thought of having over veggies. I'll have to try the zuchinni idea.

Spaghetti squash is another option, instead of noodles.

I love spaghetti squash
I also like acorn sqash (adding ground meat(either turkey or beef or pork - whatever you have) with onions & peppers &adding cheese when almost done - to the middle)
