OK this may be a little premature but... I started the weight loss fat burning tone up 8 week plan a week and a half ago. Everyting is going very well, I'm working out 5 days per week adding in 25 mins of cardio (at target heart rate) per workout. I am counting my calories keeping around 2400 per day with 81g fat 263g Carbs & 150g protein for an approx 500-600 cal defecet per day. I quit smoking cold turkey, Quit drinking beer and have the occasional weekend glass or 2 of red wine. So far to date I have had zero gain/loss. I do feel stronger and things are tightening up. Should I reduce my calory intake of increase my cardio?

hmmmm...not sure...it is very early in the game...but it seems you should have dropped some water weight at least...what is your water intake like...you could be retaining water...and your carbs look high and your protien low...how did you come up with your calorie intake...should be between 10-15 lbs per pound of body weight for loss.
Also...the quitting smoking is supposed to mess with your metabolism a bit...but I quit 4 weeks ago and I have lost so not to sure about that theory...any how...give us your current stats..maybe we could help a little more...:)

Yeah...then that sounds right...except the water...I way 150 and I have to drink at LEAST 107 oz of water a day...the only thing I can think of is your water maybe low...if you are dehydrated your body will hold the water..causing water retention. You're doing all the right stuff...like you said,it is a little early. Are you tracking everything you eat to make sure you are staying in your calorie range??Give it a couple more weeks then see where you are....your doing great...just keep at it!!!:)

I think the main statement that you made is that you are noticing that "things are tightening up". A week and a half is probably to short to really see much so hang in there. I would lower the carbs and up the protein. about 1g of protein per lb of bodyweight. i am about the same bodyweight and i try to get 2300 cal - about 65-70 g fat, 175g of carbs and 225g protein. I will drop weight with that (when I stick to it)
I use fitday also. It is pretty cool.

I have a hard time eating that much protein without getting a huge amount of fat. Any suggestions?
I'm using whey protein but with 2 servings per day that gives me 40 grams its still along way to go

I est alot of chicken which has alot of protein with very little fat. Fish, lean pork loin, extra lean beef. I eat about 13-18oz of chicken per day.

he was Navy....corpsman/Respitory Therapy...I worked at the NEX in Rota Spain when we were stationed there...watched alot of you guys gets turned away...but you were always good sports about it!!:)

But I was also gonna say...have you measured????I truely despise the scale...try measuring instead of weighing...as for the protien..I have the same problem...I have to double up my whey shake once a day..and have 2 more single scoop shakes on top of protien with every meal..it's rough, but where there is a will there is a way...and things like tuna in water...or any fish ...are really high in protien and have trace amounts of fat...

Try a big heaping plate of patience. 1 1/2 weeks is very short in the context of trying to make lifestyle changes.
