Heya, just wondering what people consider to be "Essestial" supplements. I'm trying to gain some muscle, and protein powders seems pretty necessary to gain the requires daily protein... but should I be going with Whey Protein, Long-burn proteins, or MRPs?
Anything else eseetial? Glutamine? Amino Acid tablets?

Finally, are there any good MRPs which don't use Eggs? I'm allergic, and haven't seen any yet...

Well, you may get varying opinions on this one, except for the basic 3. Protein, L-Glutamine, and Creatine. Creatine is the most researched supplement in history. It works. Protein we all know we need. Now as far as your types, you will be best served with a pure whey post workout due to quick assimilation. Then MRP's or blends work well the rest of the day. Now here may be where some vary. I particularly prefer and believe in Mass Amino Acid tablest with each meal. I don't feel the "whole food quality", which is essential, is all there in this day of processed foods. In order to draw more quality from it, aminos can play a big part. These would be my recommendations. But, first and foremost, eat a good balanced diet. All the supplements in the world will not do you any good without proper diet, and lots of it. Everything builds off your food intake.

bb is right on, especially regarding food. the only supplement i would add to his list is a good multi vitamin/mineral.
