heavy weights and light weights

hey FT
i just wanna get things straight, its good to train with heavy and light weights. But if you just train with light weights for example thats only good for endurance/appearence and wont actually won't increase physical strength thats what the heavy weights are for. I heard that if you only train with light weights that increases the size of your muscle but it's different kind of muscle, i forget the name of it it's a very scientific name. Is this right?
