Can this be right? This is what is supposed to be in line with my goals for shedding some fat and gaining more mass in my chest and shoulders. This seems a little high, doesn't it?
I'm 31, male, 6'4", 280lbs, and I walk about 3 miles everyday at work, but not all at once. Do this figures sound right?
Protein -275 g maximum 10% variance is acceptable Carbohydrates -688 g maximum 10% variance is acceptable Fats -52 g maximum 10% variance is acceptable
Total Calories -4274 calculated maximum, do not exceed for current goal
Thanks in advance. Everyone rocks on this board. I really appreciate the experience and how helpful everyone is.

Trying to sit and stand at the same time I see, Good Luck!
You gain a tad bit of muscle on a short term small amount of fat lose but your not going to gain mass as in put on some good muscle and cut at the same time!
Also that intake is way too high, Protein is fine , Carbs is extremely too high and Fats is good!

Sit and stand at the same time? How do bodybuilders have huge chests, shoulders, and arms, but small waists?

Well, I've lost quite a bit of weight in my waist just by cutting back on the amount of food I've been eating. I hadn't changed my diet, but ate less and I've gone down 3 belt notches in the last couple months. My chest hasn't really ever had fat on it. I'll just start my workout this monday as planned, and hope I'm one of the genetically lucky ones. I'll cut more of the carbs from the plan and see where it takes me.
What is a good amount of time to try the diet to get a good idea of what to expect before making changes?
Thanks, guys.

Well, I haven't gone to the gym for years. I'm using what was set up for me on this site, according to my goals.
It's 8 weeks, 5 days per week. I selected to gain in the chest and shoulders. I'm not sure of what information you are looking for specifically.
As for dropping the carbs, what would you recommend? I'll be lifting and 25 minutes of cardio 5 days a week.

Hmm... 473. Sound better? It seems odd that it would be able to decide on a number with so few questions.
Thanks, though. I appreciate it.
