Second that. You have to challenge the muscle to give it reason to adapt and grow.

Then what is happening in my body when I could do an extra set than the previous week or month.Something must have increased.what is it.Is it endurance or what?

Part of the whole purpose is to get stronger over time which is what you are doing. If your weights aren't heavy enough, add more weight.

What I am asking is not that.I want to know what is happening to my muscle when I increase the number of sets instead of the weights and reps. What change does it undergo

none, all you are doing is wasting energy that could be spent better.

You can train for muscle endurance or muscle strength, or a combination of both. By simply adding sets with the same weight, the answer to your question is you are gaining muscle endurance. You will not grow from it.
