Ok, I have a questiong regarding bulking up, and cutting. Does it matter the order you do them in? And if anyone feels to tell me which they thought was an easier transition, that'd be great too. Thanks.

If you have no contest or photoshoot to prepare for, then it is purely asthetics. So, you have to look at yourself, analyze your situation, and then make a decision. If you for instance have more fat than you like, and don't like the way you look, then I would say dieting is in order to lose the fat. If you are skinny and want to add muscle, then bulking would be more in order.

Oh ok. I plan on losing the fat first, the adding muscle. But in that process, should I keep the same number of reps for my exercises. For example, I am currently doing 4 sets of 6 reps, with 215 lbs. Should I continue to do that to try to maintain my strength, or should I make a plan to fit my diet?

Always try to maintain your strength, this will pretty much insure you are losing fat and little to no muscle. It is very difficult to do as you reduce calories, but if you push the muscle with the heaviest weights you can handle, then you are fine.

That being said, you can 'switch' your workout as you diet. That is doing drop sets, supersets, etc. which will in fact aid you by burning more calories. The idea is that your first set of drop set for instance will be your heavy weight, and each subsequent set a drop.

This way you still maintain a 'challenge' to the muscle with your heaviest weights, while burning more calories.

Alright, thanks. So I guess you answered my new question, but I'm going to ask why. If I understood correctly, your above post states that you burn more calories doing exercises such as drop sets. My question is why is that, considering I would be pushing myself harder lifting heavy weight?
