I'm 191lb / 17 years old / lifting for more than a year now, im still planning to gain weight until I hit 200lb. But my gaining has begun to plateau. I've been working on a diet of 4000 Calories for quite a long time, since I was at 160lb. I've added 500 to it which now adds up to 4500 Calories, 1500 Calories coming from weight gainer shakes, 3000 from a variety of healthy foods. I never eat junk food or fast food, I mainly eat oats, rice, pasta, milk, tuna, chicken, and lean pork. 4500 Calories is hard to maintain, but I'm gaining slowly, usually a pound in two weeks. Is there anyway to lower this 4500 beast? Thanks in advance

Even with starvation, metabolic slowdown if memory serves me correct at its most severe is no more than 30%. Minnesota starvation study paper. Don't try to do something foolish...if you need to eat more, just do it. Eat more calorie dense foods rather than nutritent dense. Quantity in this case will add up to 'quality' as far as getting all your needed nutrients.
