I've been following the 8 week fat burn and tone schedule and I'm on week 6. 5 days week weight + 5 days cardio either ellipictal or stationary bike or swimming for 30-45 mins. So far a grand total of ....... 0 (ZERO) weight loss
my 12 week average calories etc:
Cal 2316
Cal - %cal
Fat 656 - 28%
Sat fat 221 - 10%
Polyfat 103 - 4%
Monofat 234 - 10%
Carbs 936 - 40%
Fiber 32
Protien 599 - 26%
Alcohol 96 - 4%

What am I doing wrong, I need some validation otherwise I'm going to loose my motivation

well obviously you are eatting at a maintenance level cut 250-500 cals a day off that and you should loose. I also think and maybe asimmer or bb can comment, but I think your carbs are a bit too high and protein too low. I mean you fats are more than you protein.....just what I see. good luck!

I think Mutt is right on. Protien looks to be too low, and if you dropped 250 cal a day you would probably start to see some loss. :)

I'd be a little concerned about dropping your calories too low. Your profile says you way about 250lbs, even at 11cal/lb, which would be low, you'd be eating 2750cal and you're only consuming 2300/day. I would tend to think you may need to up your caloric intake and rebalance your ratios, increase protien for sure! Almost seems like your body is holding on to everything it can because it isn't getting enough. Just my 2 cents:)

Hmmm...many gyms can do it, but these days it's mostly done by an impedence method, which isn't the most reliable. If you can find someone who'll do it via calipers, that's the best. Even with the inacuracy of the impedence method, you'd atleast have a benchmark to judge from when you get measured again at a later date. The easiest way to track your progress is by using a tape measure and measure your bicep, chest, abdonmen, hips and thigh. Then take the measurements again in 4 weeks. Unfotunately the scale isn't the best way to track fat loss. Taking photos helps as well.

just out of curiousity, are your clothes fitting better than they did 8 weeks ago?
