We went to our cousin's house for dinner last night, and his wife had made her famous lasagna which we have never had before. It was really good...a little creamy, but seeing as how I haven't had ricotta cheese in a LONG time, I thought that was it. After eating a serving of the lasagna, she tells us the secret ingredient.......................CREAM CHEESE!!! My husbands face visibly blanched, and my breath caught in the throat. I can't eat cream cheese...my gallstones will send me on a trip to hell and back if I eat anything that has the word cream in it.
The good news. I didn't die. I didn't even have an attack at all. Am I planning on purposely tempting fate again after almost 2 years attack free? No. But it was nice to find out that an accident with the stuff does not mean imminent death. :)

WOW, I know how you feel. I have many food allergies and I always have to ask about all the ingrediences before I eat anything. Sucks big time! Glad to hear you're OK :)

Most of the people around us know what I can and cannot eat, but we've only been to their place with her cooking once before, so she had no idea. I felt bad for her because she felt so badly. Hopefully not having an attack this time means that should any other accidents happen there won't be such a need to freak out lol.
