I'm 22 years old and I started going to the gym for almost 3 months now. From 100 lbs and a 26 waistline I gained 20 pounds and my waistline now is 28. My problem is that my tummy is starting to bulge out and I don't want that to happen. Also, this past weeks I didn't see any increase in weight.

We'll need a little more info so you might fill out your profile to make the recommendations more accurate. Just from what I can get from your post, and not knowing what kind of muscle gains you've made, I'd say take a look at your diet. Unless you've got an almost perfectly clean diet and a matching workout, s 20 lb gain in 3 months at your body weight probably includes a hefty percentage of fat gain.

Mike is right. Some that are new and trying to gain weight think that eating everything in site is the way to go. If you just want to see the scale go up, this will probably happen. But quality weight(lean tissue) is another matter. Without knowing your diet, my guess is with Mike's that you probably gained a good amount of fat.

The protien and carbs should be your prority. Of coarse you need fat but make sure it is the good fats, and try and keep it to 30% of your total calories.
Good Luck
