Pretty simple one here: when you weight out 6 oz of chicken for a particuluar meal, are you weighing it before or after cooking it (because it usually weighs more prior to cooking)? My guess is after, but just making sure.

Thanks!

Usually after, but you can also use the inside palm of your hand for comparison. The thickness and size is what you would compare to, and that would go for any serving of protein.

A little discipline at the table and at the gym might help reduce that belly!

Normally unless otherwise specified in a diet, weights are before cooking. However, if you use cooked, then use it all the time. Whichever you choose to use, just use it consistently. This way you will still be reducing or inceasing your calories, whichever way you are going.

I used both because I have found trackers like Calorie King that has it where I know my meats cooked and for Vegi's, Fruits, Oat and ect I used the uncooked forum.

Consistency however you choose to go is key. If you call 6 oz. of chicken cooked 35 gr. of protien, then call it that every time. If you are not dieting, really makes little difference.
