I have to go through a Martial Arts grading in the nest few weeks, what I am asking is for ideas of what to eat prior to to give me max energy level for a long period of time. The grading will last 4 to 5 hours no breaks not even for water, the only break you can get is if you pass out puke or get cut in the face and cant see properly. As most that I have seen do this have been very young and at this gradding the oldest is 20 next to me at 36. So I need every edge I can get, any ideas for a supper meal before sure would be appeciated.

Oatmeal and peanut butter are an excellent combo for sustained energy. They make an energy bar called Cliff, that is loaded with good carbs strictly for energy. Very calorie dense. Good luck with your grading. Hope you do well. Sounds very intense.

Try to use natrual peanut butter. Better than the processed stuff like Skippy...I don't know if you have ever tried this, but I think it is rather good. Mix peanut butter in the hot oatmeal.
