Tuna is a great source of protein, and I love eating it, however, I'm not a big fan of Mayo. One, the taste, and two, the fat content. Is there anything else out there that mixes well with tuna (thats good for us)?

So what is the difference between pico de gallo and salsa?
I never use mayo in my tuna anymore. Sometimes I eat as is .. the other day I mashed up some avocado with my tuna. Adding avocado to almost anything improves it as far as I'm concerned. |

flax oil or udo's oil with some garlic, salt and pepper is one of my favorite salad dressings.
Pico de gallo isn't as saucy/tomatoey as salsa. There is an excellent pico de gallo recipe that I figured out the amounts for in the recipes...I will see if I can find it:) -------------- Until you value yourself you will not value your time. Pico De Gallo
Here is a great way to liven up your low fat burgers and chicken breasts, fish or even shrimp - It is fresh and tasty! 2 medium tomatoes, mine weighed 4.5 oz each, about two cups ½ a large onion, 4oz, about ¾ c 1 jalapeno pepper, 1 oz, seeds removed 1 medium lime, mine was about 4.5oz ½ bunch of cilantro (1 cup when chopped) Dice the tomatoes, onion and jalapeno into small cubes. Chop the cilantro. Place in a medium bowl. Roll the lime around while pressing down on it, then cut in half and squeeze the juice into the bowl with the other ingredients. This made about 3 cups. Total 170 calories 6g protein 41.4g carbohydrates <1.6g fat 8.4g fiber Per ½ cup serving: 28.3 calories 1g protein 6.9g carbohydrates .26g fat 1.4g fiber It is even better if you cover it and let it meld together in the fridge overnight! You can top just about anything with it, try it on burgers! I think there is also a whole thread on tuna and ways to eat it...I will check fitbuddy and bump it if it isn't already sticky. -------------- Until you value yourself you will not value your time. Here is 2 of my favorite created dressings I use even on Tuna.
2 to 3 TBSP of Balsamic Vinegar 1 tsp of Olive Oil 1 to 2 tsp of Old Style Dejon Mustard To make it sweet add 1 packet of aspartame and to make it spicy leave out the sweetener and instead add Cayenne Powder! -------------- Knock-Um Down & Keep-Um Down! |

I love to mix it with Brown Rice and spice it up.
I also love to add 3 oz to a Fried Egg Sandwich. -------------- Knock-Um Down & Keep-Um Down! |
