Since I am new on here I figure I will ask for opinions. I have always been told cardio first. I guess in theroy, get your heart rate up, then burn more calories as you lift. Just wondering what everyone thinks

Many factors in play here...but usually except under fairly extreme circumstances(being pretty much overweight and for health reasons everything hinges around just losing pounds), weights far outweigh the cardio benefits doing it first. Doing cardio first, you use glycogen that could be used for lifting, and will normally find yourself weaker. This will put in play your inability to overload the muscle properly, and so muscle gain will be limited at best.

I used to do cardio first...then after reading some posts here i tried doing them after..and i found what bb1 says is true for me anyways...especially if i do a higher intensity cardio day..i sure the heck dont have much energy to lift..

good luck..........

question for you bb1, I read this thread and I was wondering pretty much the same thing. my question is, if I have about 15-20 lbs of fat to lose should I be doing cardio right after my workouts? and should I be doing cardio everyday?

Probably really doesn't make alot of difference in your position. You are that 'borderline' case. I would pick weights first though.
