Hi,
I just bought meal replacement shakes (MetRx) and do not know where to place them in my diet.
I eat 4 or 5 meals a day - try to keep it at 5 I believe each meal is about 200 to 300 cal.
You might need my stats Female - 5'4 - 150 pds. BC (before child) 124
Also, I have done some research that says you should trick your body with calories. How do you do that?
Thanks a bunch - I have read your posts and everyone seems so knowledgeable about this stuff

the biggest thing to remember is to not rely on MRPs. base your daily caloric intake on real, whole food. use MRPs only as a convienence, not a necessesity. and that goes for any supplement; hence their name.
as far as 'tricking' your body: your body is extremely adaptive to its environment. alternating your caloric intake prevents the body from expecting what you're going to feed it, and thereby prevents it from altering its metabolism accoridingly. this may sound way out there, but it is amazing how "smart" your body is when it comes to survival. i've seen diets such as 2k one day, 1800 the next, 3k the following, etc. i suggest just adjusting your diet according to your goals. hope this helps........

Thank you for your responses..
Another question I see a lot of posts regarding the names glutamine, creatine, and fat-burning supplements
Since I have started my workouts I do the treadmill 1st thing every morning and I weight train 3 days a week
Is it a good idea to invest in these products...
I used to live on xadrine and metabolife and water pills and not eat... Very Unhealthy!!!
So this time around I would like to go as natural as possible!!
Any Suggestions,

Since you're just getting started, I would suggest to first get your training, diet, and rest in line. Since these are what really build muscle and lose fat, they are the most important. Once you feel that things are in order, you can start with some supplements, and we can recommend some.
Just remember: there is nothing magical about supplements; they do just that - supplement. Don't rely on them.

I guess I'm a little too involved right now, I'll probably be ready when I hit my 1st plato - I hear it is in about 6 -8 weeks...
Thanks
