this monday im going to be starting school again, and im mostly there during the whole day, some days shorter then other. breakfast and dinner is no problem. but for lunch and snacks, i dont know how my diet is going to be, all there is around are fastfood restaurants. i can bring little snacks to school, but i dont know what to bring. There is a nutrition store however and sometimes i get protein bars, but they dont fill me up enough and ill still feel full, all there is around is junk food, which isnt good for my diet. I guess it could be good also since im trying to cut, and i wont be eating a lot.Id appreciate any good tips on how to work with my diet while in school. |

Pre cook some chicken breasts, Hard boiled eggs (No Yolks),Grain bread,. Some meal replacements if you can get some. Don't forget a good salad with olive oil and garlic and vinegar. Hop this helps. -------------- The trouble with jogging is that, by the time you realize you are not in shape for it, it is too far to walk back! Franklin P. Jones Ivan Montreal Canada |

Get a little cold lunch sack and an ice pack... you can also take yogurts and if you are on top of things, pack small tupperware with cottage cheese and fruit (I buy the big containers and then pack them into "singles' because its cheaper) You can also buy the pre cut salad mixes and make those into singles. Another thing that I do and this goes along with what carivan mentioned, is when I cook chicken breasts for dinner, I'll cook an extra one for lunch. Hope this helps a little and gives you some ideas. :) |

i can get some protein bars due to the nutrition store near my school, but it gets pretty expensive after a while. and are protein bars really that good? arent some full of sugar? do u recommend any special brand of protein bars?i think im going to do that sometimes, just get a chicken breast and put it between 2 pieces of whole grain bread and voila! i got some ultra low fat italian salad dressing, its very low in cals, 6cals per tbsp. is that ok for my salads? |

its better than the regular stuff, but I think it still has sugars. Try some good olive oil and put some herbs.-------------- The trouble with jogging is that, by the time you realize you are not in shape for it, it is too far to walk back! Franklin P. Jones Ivan Montreal Canada |

I've tried Myoplex and LaBrada and they both shake up just fine. The LaBrada isn't thick at all. |

I use Biotest's low-carb MRP and that mixes well in a shaker. Protein bars are better than nothing, but not quite as good as powdered MRP's. There are some that are chock full of sugar and often the protein quality suffers a bit.-------------- "Don't follow leaders and watch your parking meters!" -- Bob Dylan |
