Protein shakes can be very useful when adding other things to them to supplement your daily intake such as fruits, veges, etc. This works out great for people who don't have time to fit in 5 to 6 small meals a day and can sip one instead, this therefore, just add up in better results then one not being able to fit in all of their nutrients, vitamins, carbs, fat and calorie intake for the day.
Check the diet forum for different recipes for smoothies, shakes etc and let me know if you are interested, i have an e-book that give about 50 different smoothie recipes that can have protein added to it.
