When I work out I have a hard time reaching my target heart rate. I feel like I am working out hard, but even after 30 minutes its still at 80bpm. I am 5'4" and 130lbs. My target should be 100-170 approx. Am I doing something wrong or just not doing the right thing?

Not enough resistance with whatever you are doing.

80 bpm? You either are extremely fit, are taking your pulse incorrectly, or have a heart condition (or perhaps you are on a heart rate suppressant, like Blood Pressure medication?).
How are you taking your pulse? What type of cardio are you doing?

I dunno yoru age...but my target heart rate for cardio...is 130 or so. I'm 23...If you get your heart rate up too high it becomes anarobic.( I think) From what I thought I read you wanna stay aerobic as possible.

Lemme throw this question out there...
If one has no problem reaching their target heart rate, but doesn't feel like they are doing anything, what should he/she do?
For instance, I had no problem reaching my 144bpm max the other day, but didn't feel overly exerted.
Thoughts?
