Just hit 400 in deadlift, only 30lb away in squat. SOO CLOSE, now i just need to get that bench up. I just love powerlifting.

Gotta love hitting those milestones like that. 400 DL is my goal by the end of the year.

i know, old thread, but an update!! i deadlifted 420 today and got 380 in squat last week so i went up 20lb in deadlift and 10 lb in squat.

yo j, my workout for dead lift varies every week
im on a 5 week plan
week one: 5x5
Week two: 5 4 3 2 1 (reps)
Week three: 5 3 1
Week four: 3 3 3 (Reps)
Week five: 3 2 1 (reps)

I'll occasionally add in 3x6 weeks in there to mix it up.

well, i went for 400 today on squat, i got about 75% of the way there and my muscles stopped responding, so i just put it down. didnt hurt or anything, i was feeling pretty good. Im going to try it next week.

I've always been pretty lucky. Senior year I was able to squat 400 despite never really training my legs. Weird how that works.

that's great....any particular reason we needed to know that....moreover are u sure it was an actual squat and not just a walk out with 3 inches of rom?

ohh yea, btw i did get 400 last week. totally forgot to post it on here. got down all the way, my calfs almost touched my thighs and the bar was like a inch away from hittin the safety bar on the rack. was a awsome feeling, got spring break all next week so i can squat till after then :angry:
