i eat the following ham-yes its cured..
3oz serving
100 cal
2g fat
sodium...a crap load..hehehe
protein-14g
i really enjoy pork and ham...i heard today tho that most BB dont eat it because of the sodium but mostly because of the way the protein is broken down by the body.....not sure..very vague..anyone?
i eat about 6 oz. 3-4 days a week for breakfast...dont have a problem with water retention either...

It is from the media that sodium has taken such a beating. If you have no issues with hypertension, etc. you will have no issues with sodium. Sodium was villified in the press, just like other things. It is always so easy to take one thing and blame all woes on it. This is the course they take, and if you follow things, you notice they are normally wrong. Unless you go out of your way to get more sodium, there is very little problem. Sodium will do wonders in the gym for your pump too.

Yup Pork Roast and Chops are GREAT but for me with Ham which I love but seldom eat and it does make me real thirsty but I love a Spiral Glazed Ham or Smoked but will eat the White meat and C-Bacon on a daily basis as to the Hams are at a moderation for me.

I never worry about sodium already in foods as I never add it to the foods I cook with the exception of the occassional egg :)
