...this summer, like a mini vaction for my best friend and I. Since Hector will be gone and the boys go away for the summer, I thought I would drop baby gurl off at her grandparents and take a little trip.
So, I need suggestions of something that is not overly expensive but still fun. I live right on top of the beach, so that's not something I want to do, since, I can basically do it any time.
Ideas?

If you like to camp. You can do that just about anywhere. Also it is a little cheaper. Check out the KOA's. They are campgrounds and they are just about everywhere. You can get small cabins pretty cheap like 48 - 52$ a night. All you get though is the bed (bring your own bedding) and the shelter and some electrical outlets. But they have shower houses and stuff. Just google KOA. We got a small cabin in colorado for this summer also. Plan to do some horseback riding in the mountains. Which is not that expensive. And some hiking. Also South Dakota has a lot of great sites we are planning a trip there this summer also. Plan to see Mt Rushmore and and all the other stuff. We are staying at a KOA there too (5 miles from mt rushmore). Some KOA's also have pools and other fun stuff. But whatever you plan, plan ahead of time depending on when you go. I am learning a lot of people like to travel in the summer LOL. Go figure. Hope some of this helps....

Hummm..all good ideas.
HAHAHAHA fly...we already went again this past summer and I was so uneasy that I might as well have had on a chasity belt.
I'm thinking that camping with a few perks sounds fun. I'll have to run it by my friend and see what she thinks.

Just get a quart of whiskey and a Hawaii poster to look at while you drink it, its cheap and you will think you are on vacation, until the next morning..when you will wish you were dead instead:)

Can always come up to Montreal. It's like a mini trip to Europe!
