Hey guys,
I have been lifting weights for about 8 months now, and i have put on at least 10kg of muscle. I used to weigh about 52kg, but now i weigh about 64kg. My goal was and still is to beef up a little bit and tone up. I dont want to be huge but just enough so its noticeable, even when im wearing a shirt. For the first 15 or so weeks i was getting bigger, especially in the arms, but now my muscle have stopped getting bigger. I thought it might be cos my body was getting used to it, so i changed my workout every so often, but there was no change in size. Is it cos i need to put on a bit more weight or something else maybe? Any advice would be greatly appreciated cos im feeling lost and confused, and feel that my workout is pointless and is doing nothing.
Thanks
James.

Up the weight, vary your routine and eat more.

well diet is key to gaining check your cal intake and protien intake at 64kg whould be at min 150g a day but if really trying to mass it i would aim for 300 which is 2g per lb bodyweight
And lift heavy or go home HIGH WEIGHT, low reps, If really trying to mass I wouldnt do anything over 10 reps except the warmup and should stay around a set of 10, 8, 6, 4
just my 2 pennies

You have to find a way to challenge your muscles, i.e. hit them with new exercises, new rep ranges, etc.
Your body is easily adaptable so you have to keep it changing to keep getting results.

The thing is i try to challenge my body with new exercises, i do low reps high weights, and i eat Alot of food. I eat healthy, and have a little junk food on the weekends, and i dont eat fast food like maccas, kfc, pizza etc, havent in years. Im not a health freak but i do try to watch what i eat.
Could it be cos ive peaked and cant get any bigger?

are you getting enough rest? Body will not grow without rest...also how have your lifts increased? Are they still increasing or still using same weights on lifts?

You're only 20 - there's no way you've peaked. The sky is the limit. As individuals, we impose limits on ourselves and that brings us down or at least halts progress. Set your expectations higher for yourself. You say you eat a lot, but you don't need to eat just when you're hungry. You need to eat ALL THE TIME! Drink tons of water (a gallon+ every day). If you're looking to get bigger, start prioritizing your eating and training. Don't EVER be afraid to be selfish. It's your body, right? Feed it well and train hard...
