Foods that contain high protien will thow off those hunger pangs, which in turn will make you feel fuller between meals and able to avoid binges.
Research has shown that the best food for appetite destruction is whey protien. So for all who get cravings and hungry to soon, up your protien!
Another product is fiber, when its in your stomach food takes longer to enter the bloodstream and your sugar level stays steady. This bebefits in consistent energy supply and less hunger between meals.
Sorry for the long post!

It's true!! lol the protein makes me sooooo hungry!! (sorry Carivan)
Personally what works for me (helping me to control my appetite) is eating good fat (like nuts or avocado).

Everybody is different........

Fiberous foods definitely help the hunger pangs the best, at least for me. Or, I'll drink a huge glass of water to help for the short term.

Yes; I agree w/the the later;
Whenever I have the big pro breakfast, It also seems that I crave to get a big lunch too.
The high complex carbo, high fibre meal is always better, you will feel better and have more energy.
For me; a energy bar/MRB before lunch, and an apple in the afternoon does the trick, in the evening its a little plain popcorn or a dry toasted baggel.

Yeah, trust me, protein does not hold you for very long. The fibrous carbs and water and willpower are what sustains you during these times of comp. dieting. LOL....

Whey doesn't quite do it for me, but protein foods do. After an 8 oz loin steak, I'm usually good until the next meal. Carbs almost never do it for me. I guess that just goes to show that everyone's body reacts differently to different foods. I have, however, noticed a significant decrease in the amount of food that I consume at one sitting. It's like my brain tells me to stop eating before I'm full now, since I'm used to eating smaller, more frequent meals.

I find that when I have a shake with my meals I outlast the hunger feelings. I agree with carivan! lol

Well, a steak with some nice fat through it really adds some calories. Much different than a chicken breast or 2, or eggwhites and tuna.

I freaked out the robots today at Mcdonalds!!! I asked for a chicken mcgrill (chicken breast) with out the bun, just tomatoe and lettuce, I had to tell her I was allergic to bread so she would stop looking at me like a weirdo!

Okay, been on the leaning diet for just three days and no matter what I eat I seem to be hungry. So my solution, with all the protein I am taking in is to split 3 of my meals in half so that I am eating every two hours instead of three. It worked so well yesterday that I was completely satisfied and no hunger pangs waiting for that last hour to be over.
